The FITEL S177A hand-held core alignment fusion splicer is available for hire. It incorporates a superior heating design with optimal splice-to-heat time. The unit’s T-shaped body design weighs only 2.2kg including battery. Ideal for fast field use with superb battery life. In addition, fibre magnification power is 608X, marking the industry’s most powerful rating for a core alignment splicer. Other features include:
- Built in heater and tension test
- An internal battery that automatically charges when the unit is plugged into AC Power – even while splicing
- A new transreflective LCD that allows for clear viewing of the splice even in direct sunlight
- Data for up to 2,000 splices can be stored in the unit. All data can also be exported to a PC through USB connection to the splicer

The FITEL S325A high precision fibre cleaver can be used with single & multimode fibres and features a built in sharps collection bin that automatically stores fibre off-cuts.
Ergonomic and lightweight, the S325 cleaver offers the versatility of cleaving on a work bench or in the palm of the hand. The reduced lid size and wide opening angle facilitates fibre loading and improves stability resulting in better single and ribbon fibre cleaves.
Just pressing the lever completes the fibre cleave and automatically collects the waste. With 24 positions, the long life blade achieves numerous cleaves.
